Back Story
Before starting the course, Harry (pictured) was unemployed for two months and was “honestly quite nervous” – he wasn’t sure if becoming a Teaching Assistant was the right path for him.
He was referred to and enrolled onto a Teaching Assistant online programme delivered by Cidori college partner Kendal College.

I would definitely recommend the course to anyone considering a TA role – right now, I’m working as a supply TA, supporting a young boy with cerebral palsy until the summer break. It’s incredibly rewarding, and I’m really starting to settle into the role. It feels good to be doing something meaningful and to see the difference I can make each day.”

Journey Since Learning: Harry registered with Cidori employer partner Cumbria Teaching Agency and has already started working as a SEN teaching assistant!
Qualifications: Like all our TA candidates, Harry has come away with his NCFE Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools & Colleges.
