Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship

Typical Job Roles:

Multi-channel marketers will define, design, build and implement campaigns across a variety of platforms to drive customer engagement and retention. In addition, they will be responsible for parts of the campaign within their area of responsibility. As part of the Marketing team, they will contribute to the implementation of the Marketing strategy and plans and will have responsibility for elements of the overall marketing plan. Typical roles: Digital communications assistant; Digital marketing assistant; Marketing assistant; Social media assistant

Programme Length:

18 months plus a 3 month End Point Assessment (EPA) window.

Functional Skills:

Level 2 in English & maths is to be completed, if required.

Progress Reviews:

Progress reviews occur every 10-12 weeks and are a mandatory requirement. There must be a manager or mentor present at each review.

Multi channel marketer Level 3 Standard

Delivery and Assessment:

Learning & assessment will take place with a dedicated onsite tutor, and will consist of:

  • Teaching sessions, practical activities
  • Workbooks & Projects
  • Presentations and practical assessments

Off the Job Training:

This training must equate to a minimum of 6 hours per week for the duration of the apprenticeship programme. It can be delivered flexibly e.g., for a part of each day, once each week or as a block release.

Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours:

  • Marketing theory, concepts and basic principles
  • Business’ structure, vision, priorities, and objectives, and how marketing supports
  • Business tools used to measure the impact of business objectives
  • What a marketing plan is, how it is built and its purpose
  • Importance of competitor analysis and how to undertake it
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy
  • Brand theory such as positioning, value, identity, guidelines, and tone of voice
  • Create content using principles of design and copywriting
  • Accountability and ownership of their tasks and workload
  • Taking responsibility, showing initiative and being organised
  • Working flexibly and adapting to circumstances
  • Working collaboratively with others across the organisation and external stakeholders
  • Seeking learning opportunities and continuous professional development
  • Acts in a professional manner with integrity and confidentiality

Progression:

Successful completion of the programme may be a gateway to further learning, or enhanced career opportunities in the sector: Marketing Coordinator; Digital Marketing Officer; Marketing Executive; Digital Community Manager; Marketing Manager, Campaign Lead, Content Strategist or Brand Manager.

End Point Assessment:

Learners will undertake an End Point Assessment at the end of their practical training period. The EPA will consist of the following elements, each of which will be graded individually. Learners will then be awarded an overall grade of a fail, pass or distinction.

  • Project or campaign evaluation report
  • Presentation of additional/new content and questions
  • Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
