Cidori launches new Civil Service employability programme with Buckinghamshire College Group

Cidori is expanding its Into Work offer with the launch of a new Civil Service employability programme, delivered in partnership with Buckinghamshire College Group.

The fully funded, intensive 10-day online programme is designed to help eligible adults develop the practical employability, digital and personal skills needed to pursue opportunities within the Civil Service.

The Civil Service offers an enormous variety of careers across UK Government departments and agencies, from administration and operational delivery to customer service, digital, data, project and policy support.

But finding the right opportunity is only part of the challenge. Understanding how to navigate recruitment, demonstrate the right behaviours and present skills and experience effectively can make a significant difference.

Building skills – and confidence

Throughout the programme, learners will develop skills in areas including:

• identifying suitable Civil Service opportunities
• CV development and applications
• interview preparation
• Civil Service behaviours and workplace standards
• digital skills and online safety
• responsible use of AI
• communication and teamwork
• personal resilience and perseverance

Learners will also work towards three Level 1 employability qualifications with Buckinghamshire College Group:

• Certificate in Personal & Social Skills
• Certificate in Securing Employment
• Award in Personal Resilience & Perseverance

Learning with an employment outcome in mind

The programme forms part of our wider Into Work approach, connecting learning with the practical support people need to progress towards employment.

Alongside developing recognised skills and qualifications, participants will receive support to identify opportunities, strengthen applications and prepare for interviews.

The aim is simple: help people stand out and take their next step towards a meaningful Civil Service career.
