Deciding to sponsor a national student award was not a decision Cidori took lightly.
But we’re glad we did.
Since announcing this, we now know a little more about the worthy winner – Ebony-Mae Palliser from Northampton College. Ebony-Mae is not only a talented operatic singer who beat tough competition to be crowned Adult Student of the Year, but a ‘singing sensation’ who has put on charity concerts, raised awareness for good causes, organised entertainment for care home residents and even performed for a host of politicians and celebrities at Downing Street! She also lives with multiple severe health difficulties which often leave her in a lot of pain, feeling very unwell and extremely tired and dizzy.
Yet as College Principal, Jason Lancaster stated about her Level 2 Music Performance course at Northampton College:
“What makes her success even more inspirational is she has done all this while showing an incredible commitment to her studies…”
Inspirational indeed…well done Ebony-Mae and to the team at Northampton College who have clearly succeeded in making learning what it should be!
And as for our decision… it just further cements why we are AOC members and why our partnerships with colleges matter.
