THE COURSE

Arden’s background was primarily customer service and it was an interesting change for her to be offered a teaching assistant course and learn more about working in a school setting. Arden was excited to enrol on the Cidori-Runshaw College 4-week ‘Teaching Assistant’ online course and expand her knowledge on working with children. She also saw this as an opportunity to gain more experience of working and learning remotely.

PROGRESSION

Arden now feels more confident with remote working and learning and also in her skills with supporting children of all ages. She comments that working on improvements to her CV and creating an editable draft cover letter for future job applications was a very helpful aspect of the course.

JOURNEY SINCE LEARNING

After enjoying getting back into studying, Arden is now planning to continue this by attending University this year.

QUALIFICATIONS

Like all our TA candidates, Arden has come away with a Level 2 NCFE Cache Award in Support Work in Schools & Colleges qualification and a suite of recognised Level 1 qualifications.

WORK & PERSONAL SKILLS

Arden has also gained a range of personal social & resilience skills along with work skills that will help her in her future career – we wish her every success!

My tutor was excellent at explaining the material and was always an email away if I needed any help or advice on answering a question in the workbooks. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to pursue a teaching assistant course or gain some experience with learning remotely. It is an intense course with a lot of material to cover so you have to stay on top of your work but if you are willing to put the effort in you will benefit immensely from all you learn.”
